The Challenge

Designing a software that can serve a high variety of companies, from 50 to 1000+ employees, including features that are independent from each other, and can be toggled with a single click.

User Research & Results

We created several A/B tests and different forms. Current users filled all of our tests and it provided us a great result of what we should improve in our service. The main focus was on the booking process. It's outdated calendar-table solution was uncomfortable for the users, as the couldn't see who are they sitting with, and the already booked mornings/afternoons weren't visible as well.

An all new look and feel

The previous UI elements and solutions of the previous system were outdated. We used several current trends to improve the UI quality, while sticking to the specified brand guide, including colors, radiuses and interactive components. The mobile app also has new improvements, with new features and elements that are consistent to the webapp version. The new design has been ran through with a couple of users, who validated our work through interactive prototypes and tasks.

An all new look and feel

New features & the design process

Despite of the redesign of existing features and processes, we have already received new feature requests, that didn't exist before. The UX & the look of the new ideas needed to match with the existing features, to keep the consistency through the whole system. Through the whole design process, we had stand up meetings twice a week, to make sure that we're all on the same page. The stand up meetings included brainstorming and the presentation of the weekly tasks, and creating new tasks for the upcoming week.

Closing the project

After validating all of the 203 wireframes in Figma, we have created an export of the wireframes, paired with a written specification. The developer team was already included in the whole redesign of the software, so they were aware of every detail they needed to start the development right after we finish the facelifting.

We regularly meet with the dev team as they're coding the software, and they come up with questions monthly. This way we can make sure that the system is going in the right direction.
